(L.A.) Kammie Simms, 43, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black female that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Kammie Simms.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Phencyclidine and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Syphilis, Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection, Tobacco Smoking and Substance Abuse

RIP KAMMIE SIMMS (November 19, 1979 – October 20, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 5:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
