(L.A.) Josiah Lozano, a Baby, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Latino male that occurred on a street.
The coroner’s office has identified the infant boy as Josiah Lozano.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:47 p.m.
The six-month-old was fatally injured in a crash that happened at around 11:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Western Avenue. His parents Stephanie Jarqueen, 22, and Anthony Lozano, 20, had just picked him up from a babysitter after work. They are in the hospital now in critical condition.

It was a head-on crash with a vehicle that was being driven the wrong way. Witnesses say the stolen white car was speeding at approximately 100 miles per hour.
Police have not provided any information on the suspect.
In the video above, a Spanish-speaking witness says he heard that the young father was repeatedly asking about how the baby was, unaware his son had already passed.

Drunk Driver Kills Baby and Himself in Head-On Collision

A vehicle was traveling over 100 miles per hour when it crossed over to the opposite side, colliding head-on with a couple and their baby.
The collision killed the baby and the drunk driver.
