(L.A.) Joseph Murphy, 59, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Murphy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Chronic Alcohol Liver Cirrhosis

Other Significant Conditions: Methamphetamine Effects; Liver Cancer

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:38 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late summer 2023, presumably after the results of tox screening finally came back.
