The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Ruano Rivera.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Morbid Obesity

RIP JOSE RUANO RIVERA (January 28, 1980 – December 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:26 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
