(L.A.) Jose Lara Marquez Died in a Riverbed

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 50-year-old Hispanic male. He was found dead in a riverbed.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Lara Marquez.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:26 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 16, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. His body has been released.

The decedent was a homeless person who lived in a transient encampment near the Los Angeles River in Vernon.

The medical examiner gave the individual’s birthdate as October 29, 1972, and yet simply stated his age as 18-plus.

The state of California has a birth record for a Jose J Marquez born on that date but no Jose Lara Marquez. The maiden name of Jose J Marquez is Magana. If he were still alive, he’d be 50 years old.

He had a tattoo on his left upper back of a female with a feather headdress.
