(L.A.) Johanna Gonzalez, 17, Died at a Police Department

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 17-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at a police department in the City of Industry.
The coroner’s office has identified the teen as Johanna Gonzalez.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:55 p.m.
The sheriff’s department claims that the death was from a self-inflicted gunshot. CCTV footage from inside the station has not been released.
LAUSD’s narrative is that the girl was having an altercation with a sheriff’s deputy when she grabbed his firearm from the holster. There was a struggle over the gun and she somehow shot herself dead.
Government investigators had a choice of classifying this death as an accident, a homicide or a suicide.
