(L.A.) Jessica Thibodeau, 25, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Jessica Thibodeau.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

RIP JESSICA THIBODEAU (October 9, 1998 – June 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:26 p.m.

The decedent was crossing North Western Avenue at Rosewood Avenue inside a marked crosswalk at around 3:20 a.m on June 22 when she was hit by a late-model white pickup truck, believed to be a Chevrolet or Ford, traveling south on Western. LAFD paramedics transported her to a hospital, where she later died.

She is survived by a five-year-old daughter.

The Los Angeles Times identifies this area as “Larchmont” based on their arbitrary mapping project. The place is actually North Koreatown / Melrose Hill, just south of Hollywood. As with the greater L.A. area, most of the local residents are Latino.
