Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Jason Hum.
Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Lam.
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Nontraumatic Brainstem Hemorrhage

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:13 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 23, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
On August 17, 2021, the decedent was arrested for violating Vehicle Code (VC) sections 23152(a), driving under the influence of alcohol and 23152(b), driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher. On June 27, 2022, he was convicted upon his plea of guilty to violating VC sections 23152(a) and 23152(b). Because of the conviction, he was cited and fined by the Respiratory Care Board of California.
In November 2022, respiratory therapist Brian Yuzon died from the combined effects of cocaine and alcohol.
