(L.A.) Mathew Galvez, 30, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mathew Galvez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Acetylfentanyl, and Methamphetamine

RIP MATHEW GALVEZ (December 19, 1994 – May 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:19 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
