Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 76-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Gopalakrishnan Santhanam and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African. His name, however, appears to be South Asian, specifically Indian.

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:45 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 12.
