(L.A.) Gloria McDaniel, 70, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Gloria McDaniel.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Ethanol, Methamphetamine and Cocaine

Other Significant Condition: Laennec’s Cirrhosis of the Liver

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 12:58 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Laënnec cirrhosis is primarily caused by excessive and chronic alcohol consumption.
