(L.A.) Frank Barrera, 18, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Frank Barrera.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
