(L.A.) Ernest McCoy, 74, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 74-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ernest McCoy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:10 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
