(L.A.) Erica Pleasant, 28, Died in Lynwood

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black female that occurred on the freeway.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Erica Pleasant.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:01 a.m.
The decedent was fatally injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Lynwood. She is survived by her two young children — a six-year-old and an 11-month old.

CHP said the accident happened on the transition road between the Long Beach (710) Freeway and the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway.
Video description: A female who reportedly exited a vehicle and was walking in a lane on the 105 Freeway early Thursday morning was struck and killed by a passing motorist.
The California Highway Patrol East Los Angeles units responded to multiple reports around 1:42 a.m. regarding a female walking in the slow lane of the westbound 105 Freeway just west of the 710 in the Lynwood area.
Per initial reports, the female was traveling in a vehicle with her boyfriend while having an argument.
At some point the boyfriend pulled over, she exited the vehicle on the freeway and was ultimately struck by another vehicle. It is unclear at this time if that vehicle remained at the scene.
The female was pronounced deceased.
