Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edgar Chavez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine and Ethanol Toxicity

RIP EDGAR CHAVEZ (January 17, 1980 – February 8, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:00 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 25, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
