(L.A.) Dmytro Mina, 36, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Dmytro Mina.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP DMYTRO MINA (January 25, 1989 – March 25, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:15 p.m. at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

The decedent appears to have been originally from Ukraine. He was fatally injuired during a motorcycle group ride on the freeway. As of April 4, his body is ready for release to a funeral home.

The crash that took the motorcyclist’s life occurred at approximately 8:34 p.m. on the eastbound SR-134 at Pacific Avenue in Glendale.

California Highway Patrol said the rider was transported to the hospital for treatment but passed away shortly after 10 p.m.

Witnesses reported that the rider was traveling with a group of other motorcyclists when he collided with the center divider and was thrown off his motorcycle.

The “134 freeway” refers to California State Route 134, also known as the Ventura Freeway, a major east-west route in Southern California, running from the Santa Barbara/Ventura county line to Pasadena in L.A. County.
