Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Derrik Distelhorst.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Conditions: History of Chronic Alcohol Use, Recent Cocaine Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
Cocaine is a potent stimulant that significantly increases the risk of heart-related complications, including heart attacks and cardiac arrest.
