(L.A.) David Beal, 68, Died in Acton

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Black male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the man as David Beal of Palmdale.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

At around 12:49 a.m, the decedent was walking westbound against traffic in the roadway on Sierra Highway, just west of the Vincent Grade Metrolink Station entrance, when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver did not stop to render aid, making this a crime.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 31.
