(L.A.) Creighton Wong, 35, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Asian male that occurred in a walkway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Creighton Wong.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound Through the Head

At 1:51 PM, officers from the Pasadena Police Department responded to a multi-unit residential complex located in the 200 block of North Madison Avenue regarding a “Shots Fired” call with a victim down. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot woundoutside a residential unit. The wound appeared self-inflicted, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the adjacent residential unit and located a second adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. That male was transported to a local hospital by Pasadena Fire Department Paramedics in critical condition.

Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery/ Homicide Unit responded to the crime scene to commence immediate follow-up investigation. The investigation revealed the men were roommates and that Wong had shot his roommate before taking his own life moments later. A firearm was recovered near Wong. The motive for the shooting-suicide is still under investigation.
