(L.A.) Clyde Miller, 28, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Clyde Miller.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent was apparently walking outside of a marked crosswalk on Figueroa Street, north of 81st Street, when he was hit at around 7:35 p.m. by a silver Toyota Corolla that was going southbound on Figueroa. The force of the collision sent the pedestrian airborne before he landed back on the roadway.

LAPD said the Toyota driver pulled over to assist the victim. However, a second vehicle—a blue car also traveling southbound on Figueroa—struck the fallen man and fled the scene without stopping.
