Sick Sinus Syndrome is a group of conditions affecting the sinus node, the heart’s natural pacemaker. The sinus node is responsible for generating the electrical impulses that regulate the heart’s rhythm. When it malfunctions, it can lead to various arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats).

In cardiology, the “sinus node” (or “sinoatrial node”) is a small cluster of cells in the right atrium of the heart that acts as the heart’s natural pacemaker.
