(L.A.) Charles Johnson, 21, Died on a Walkway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old Black male that occurred on a walkway.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Charles Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP CHARLES JOHNSON (March 15, 2004 – April 27, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 1:08 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
