Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Traumatic Injuries

RIP CARLOS ROMPICH-COBACH (May 9, 1970 – August 18, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:44 a.m.

The decedent was one of two motorists who fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash in the Vermont Knolls area of South Los Angeles.

LAFD said that firefighters and paramedics had been dispatched at 5:03 a.m. to 959 West Manchester Avenue.

The other victim was Nordarrion Braswell, 31.
