(L.A.) Carlos Barrientos, 43, Died in a Hotel/Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old male of Latin American ethnicity that occurred in a hotel/motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Carlos Barrientos.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Alcohol Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Heart Disease

RIP CARLOS BARRIENTOS (May 29, 1979 – March 4, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 10:31 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 23, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

This was an accidental drug overdose.
