(L.A.) Brianna Wolfe, 17, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 17-year-old Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the teenager as Brianna Wolfe, resident of North Hollywood.

Cause of Death: Multiple Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:33 p.m.

The decedent was one of two victims in a fatal accident involving a car that crossed over the median in North Hollywood.

The incident happened around 6:26 p.m. on Vineland Avenue near Oxnard Street. The incident location is recorded as the Vineland Wine Cellar, located at 6012 Vineland Ave, North Hollywood, CA 9160.

A gray Saturn ION was traveling south on Vineland Avenue when it crossed over into northbound traffic and ran off the roadway. The car hit a pedestrian and multiple parked cars before coming to a stop.

Edgar Kocharya, a 36-year-old North Hollywood resident, was identified as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by the speeding car. Kocharya was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wolfe was the second victim in the deadly crash. She was one of the car’s four passengers and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 8700 Beverly Boulevard, where she expired.

The car’s other passengers were also taken to nearby trauma centers and survived.
