Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black person that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the individual as Brian Hunt.

The decedent was a registered resident of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, located at 1118 North McCadden Place in Hollywood’s 90038 area.
News outlets reported that a man was saved by firefighters after he jumped off the Santa Monica Pier on February 18. He was then taken to a hospital.
The medical examiner listed the decedent’s gender as female.
Notably, four years earlier, on February 19, a 26-year-old successfully committed suicide at the Santa Monica Pier after also throwing himself into the ocean. In that case, strong winds and cold temperatures impeded rescuers in being able to quickly get the body out of the water.
