Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the infant girl as Anayeli Arreola.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Sudden Unexpected Infant Death
Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, Renal Involvement in Congenital Cytomegalovirus Infection, and Human Rhinovirus/Enterovirus Detected
RIP ANAYELI ARRELOA (December 11, 2022 – April 24, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:10 p.m.
The government investigator had initially misspelled the decedent’s surname as Arreloa, later correcting it to Arreola.
This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
