(L.A.) Alphonse Payne, 73, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 73-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alphonse Payne.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 1.

This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest.
