(L.A.) Alex Maslansky, 43, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alex Maslansky.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Heroin Toxicity

RIP ALEX MASLANSKY (May 5, 1979 – January 21, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 10:48 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early August, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.

The decedent was a co-owner of Echo Park’s Stories Books & Cafe.

GOOD HEROIN is the name of a live standup comedy show that has been performing since 2015 on the back patio of Stories Books & Cafe every Saturday.
