(L.A.) Alejandro Covarrubias, 22, Died in Castaic

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Latino male that occurred on the 5 Freeway in Castaic.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Alejandro Covarrubias of Altadena.

California Highway Patrol first heard about an incident on the southbound I-5, just north of Lake Hughes, at 11:23 p.m. The decedent was apparently changing a rear tire of his vehicle when he was hit by a semi truck.
