(L.A.) Abel Romero, 44, Died From Overdosing on Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latin American male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Abel Romero. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Mier.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, and Cocaine Toxicity

RIP ABEL ROMERO (January 26, 1979 – March 1, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:35 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late December, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
