(L.A.) Louis Paniagua, 48, Died on a Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a beach.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Louis Paniagua.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP LOUIS PANIAGUA (1978 – August 17, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

Media had identified the decedent as a 35-year-old man who was found in the sands of Venice Beach at around 11:10 p.m.

Incident location was the 1800 block of Ocean Front Walk, just south of Lifeguard Tower 19. This is near Muscle Beach.
