(L.A.) Marvin Chavez, 45, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Marvin Chavez.
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Conditions: Recent Coronavirus HKU1 and Influenza A H3 Infection; Class III Obesity
RIP MARVIN CHAVEZ (November 23, 1980 – February 9, 2026)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday morning.
This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest.
Note that HKU1 is not the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. It is a different human coronavirus that typically causes mild respiratory infections similar to the common cold, unlike COVID-19, which is caused by SARS-CoV-2 and can lead to more severe illness.
The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s name as Marvin Chavez Molina.
