(L.A.) Mohammad Daa’s, 38, Died Under Unknown Circumstances

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old male whose body was found inside the trunk of a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mohammad Daa’s and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African.

Height: 5 feet 9 inches / Weight: 190 pounds

Manner of Death: Undetermined

Cause of Death: Undetermined (Decomposed Remains)

RIP MOHAMMAD HAYTHAM DAAS (September 15, 1987 – November 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was born in the West Bank and moved to the United States as a child. He accumulated a rap sheet that included an arrest by LAPD in 2024 for speeding and for being an addict in possession of a firearm. At the time, his registered residence was in Riverview, Florida. LAPD’s Hollywood Division categorized his race as White. Despite the arrest, the district attorney declined to file charges so he was released pursuant to California Penal Code section 849(b)(1), a detention-only action.

Previously, he was arrested by LAPD in June 2020 for carrying a concealed weapon.
