(L.A.) Francis Shim, 60, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Asian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Francis Shim.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The decedent was standing on the curb in the 2400 block of South Bundy Drive when he was hit by a vehicle that was going the wrong way in the road.

LAPD said that at around 2:10 p.m., the vehicle was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Bundy Drive, south of Pico Boulevard in West L.A.
