(L.A.) Eric Banks, 47, Died From an OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Eric Banks.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Decompensated Congestive Heart Failure

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP ERIC BANKS (October 25, 1977 – November 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:48 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
