Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old White/Caucasian male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Daniel Russell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Hypertension

RIP DANIEL RUSSELL (August 23, 1955 – July 28, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:59 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 10, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
