(L.A.) Zenon Casas, 33, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Zenon Casas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Acute Myocardial Infarction

Cause of Death C: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Chronic Alcoholism with Liver Disease

RIP ZENON CASAS (May 12, 1991 – August 19, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
