(L.A.) Zeke Quintana, a Baby, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a four-month-old Hispanic male.

The coroner’s office has identified the infant boy as Zeke Quintana.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Positional Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Suffocation

Other Significant Condition: Unsafe Sleeping Conditions

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:44 p.m. at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance.

The child was approximately 4 months 16 days old. We do not know how recently he had received vaccinations.
