Venlafaxine, sold under the brand name Effexor among others, is an antidepressant medication of the serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) class.

Studies have found that users of venlafaxine show a higher rate of suicide and suicide attempts compared to users of other antidepressants.

There are case reports indicating that rapid discontinuation or abrupt dose reduction of venlafaxine can lead to the emergence or worsening of suicidal thoughts, even in patients who had not previously experienced suicidality.

Like other antidepressants, venlafaxine carries a warning that children, teenagers, and young adults may be at increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, especially when starting treatment or changing doses.

The decedent’s name appears to be Chinese. We do not know if he was injected with synthetic mRNA.
