Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Yesenia Castillo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Smoke Inhalation and Thermal Burns

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine Use

RIP YESENIA CASTILLO (August 7, 1975 – August 13, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:40 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 28.
