(L.A.) Yana Pugiyants, 40, Died in SRO Housing

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at a housing facility.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Yana Pugiyants.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 1:34 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
The decedent’s name could be Russian in origin (Яна Пугиянц). Her family is possibly from a former Soviet republic like Azerbaijan or Armenia.
