(L.A.) Weichien Huang, 45, Died at CRDF

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Asian female that occurred at Century Regional Detention Facility.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Weichien Huang.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Ligature Hanging

RIP WEICHIEN HUANG (December 28, 1979 – November 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

The decedent murdered her female partner / wife Chen Chen Fei in July. She was sentenced to state prison on November 3.

At the time of her death, the decedent’s gender was listed in LASD records as X (non-binary).

A samurai sword was used in the murder.
