(L.A.) Warren Beamon, 81, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 81-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Warren Beamon.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Cardiac Arrest

Cause of Death B: Cardiogenic Shock

Cause of Death C: Severe Multivessel Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Acute on Chronic Heart Failure; Acute Renal Failure; History of Prior Cardiac Arrest, Chronic Atrial Fibrillation, and Diabetes

“Acute on Chronic Heart Failure” is a standard medical term used to describe a situation where a patient with established, long-standing (chronic) heart failure experiences a sudden worsening or flare-up of their symptoms (an acute episode) on top of their existing condition.
