(L.A.) Wade Wilson, 63, Died on the Pomona Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black male that occurred on the Pomona Freeway.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Wade Wilson.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday morning.
The incident happened at around 2:33 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway near the Paramount Boulevard exit in Montebello.

At approximately 2:33 a.m. on May 23, 2026, emergency crews responded to a major traffic collision on the eastbound 60 Freeway near the Paramount Boulevard exit in the Montebello and East Los Angeles area.
Responding firefighters located a black sedan that had crashed into a wall and fence area along the freeway.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A driver believed to have been involved in the incident was seen walking away from the crash scene before officers arrived.
A police air unit equipped with FLIR was requested to assist in searching for the missing driver.
