(L.A.) Timothy Stroup, 37, Died in an Alley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Timothy Stroup.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Effects

Other Significant Condition: History of Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Human immunodeficiency virus is HIV, the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, commonly known as AIDS.
