(L.A.) Sylvester Mitchell, 68, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Sylvester Mitchell.

Height: 6 feet 2 inches

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Heroin, Fentanyl, and Cocaine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late October, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
