The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Svetlik Martirosyan.

A hemiarthroplasty is a rare surgical procedure where only half of a hip joint is replaced—specifically the femoral head (the ball part of the joint). Unlike total hip replacement, where both the femoral head and the acetabulum (hip socket) are replaced, hemiarthroplasty replaces only the damaged femoral head while leaving the acetabulum intact.
