Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Hispanic male that occurred on the Golden State Freeway.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steven De Vone. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Hidalgo.

RIP STEVEN J. DEVONE (December 7, 1966 – March 26, 2023)
The decedent was killed when his vehicle went off the Sixth Street Bridge in Boyle Heights and landed on its roof on the Golden State (5) Freeway.
His surname is spelled by the coroner’s office as “De Vone” — two words. His birth records, however, show that it is one word. The decedent and his friends also used the one-word surname.
