(L.A.) Simon Yebio, 44, Died in a Tent

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Black male that occurred in a tent.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Simon Yebio.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

RIP SIMON YEBIO (July 14, 1979 – February 13, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:12 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 30, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

The decedent’s surname appears to be Eritrean.
